April 19 Poker vs. Michael BubleEvery other Wednesday night, I play poker with some friends. Always. Unless I am out of town, and then I cry about it. But this particular regularly scheduled poker night I was IN town. And my wife and I had tickets for the Michael Buble show at the local performing arts center. I vaguely knew who this guy was, and almost asked my wife if she could find a friend to go with her. Or even another date. After all, it's poker night. But in the end, I decided that exposing myself to musical artists is never a bad choice and my poker buddies would actually understand my going to see someone who has been billed as a cross between Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick Jr.
Glad I went. Holy smokes does this guy give good show! Not only did I feel as thow I had stepped back in time (to a better musical era), but Mr. Buble is also FUNNY AS HELL! He could double bill his own show with music and stand-up. His band absolutely brings it, and the energy level is smokin. Completely worth missing my poker game for! And I don't say that lightly.
